All of the work we do at Outer Aberdeen Cats Protection is carried out by unpaid volunteers, many of whom have full time jobs, and others who have family commitments. Our branch would not be able to function without the help from our volunteers who all carry out valuable work.

All CP branches are self-funding, apart from a discretionary grant from HQ each year. We are responsible for raising funds that are required to enable us to carry out our work. While we have many willing volunteers, we are in need of more. Although working as a volunteer is unpaid, you have the enjoyment of working with the cats we have in our care.
At the moment we are desperately in need of volunteers in the following areas:

Fosterers: We currently have a few foster carers, but always in need of more. We are happy to supply food and litter for those who foster our cats. If you feel you can take in one of our cats on a short term basis, please contact our Homing Officer on 01224 823598.

CP Shop: Our shop in George Street is looking for people to help out a few hours a week. We are very short of volunteers and the shop cannot open unless we have two people at any one time. The CP shop is our main source of funds for our cats, and some days, due to the lack of volunteers we are unable to open. If you would like more information, please contact Cindy on 01224 625047 or come into the shop at the weekend and have a chat with us.

Vet visits: The cats we have in care at the pens, and also with foster carers who do not drive, need transport for veterinary visits. If you can drive and are willing to take some of our cats for occassional vet visits this may be ideal for you.

Lost & Found: We work a rota system and are looking for people to help out. Ideally, we have four on the Lost & Found team so you would help for two weeks out of eight. If you would like more information please email us at: outeraberdeencats@gmail.com or telephone Liz on: 01224 823598.
